Hi my name is Natalie, I run The Breathing Room which is a wellness centre in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire. I have been teaching yoga since 2008 but have been practising since 1996 when I found out that the chronic pain I had been living with all of my life was Scoliosis. Yoga has been such a huge part of my life, I honestly don’t know how people cope physically or mentally without it but I discovered a new passion for cold water therapy like many people when lockdown hit. Suddenly I found myself struggling with anxiety and after researching natural remedies I found the cold. I threw myself, quite literally head first in to learning everything I could about the benefits of cold water exposure and it became my calling to share it!

In May 2021, The Breathing Room launched as a safe space for people to come, breathe, stretch and use our amazing ice bath to soak away their worries in. We now have hundreds of people per week coming through our doors or to our “Soulful Sunday” events that we run at Luss every week and the way it is changing peoples lives fills my soul! I am so excited to be part of Set the Seen and will be offering you the chance to step out of your comfort zone and into the ice tub with me by your side every step of the way. Cold water therapy can be a massive intervention for anxiety, stress and depression but also helps to alleviate physical pain too. The goal of my session will be to empower, release mental blockages and leave you with a new spring in your step. You will be amazed at the power within your mind.
