The Arena

Queen’s Park Arena has a rich history in supporting live entertainment and social justice movements, and today is an adaptable events space for hosting a full range of events including but not limited to live performance, cinema, fitness, theatre, dance, educational and community events.

The space was brought back to life by Queen’s Park Arena Ltd, a charity created by local residents and local community council members from the parks four surrounding community councils:

  • Govanhill/Crosshill
  • Shawlands/Strathbungo
  • Langside
  • Mount Florida

In 2009 the organisation Queens Park Arena LTD came together began public consultations, then moved onto project managing and fundraising for the redevelopment of the venue so it could be functional once more.

In 2013 Queens Park Arena launched, opening the venue back to the public and began programming the space. The QPA board .

In 2016 the QPA charity appointed Inhouse to manage the space for organised events. Inhouse Events CIC, a non profit social enterprise was set up in 2017 to facilitate the management of the space and create the events programme.

Together, Queen’s Park Arena Ltd and Inhouse Events CIC curate, facilitate and manage an annual programme of events for the diverse audiences of the local area.
